Cash out USDC to euros in the Eurozone
Across the euro area, SEPA Instant moves euros between accounts in seconds, around the clock. Under the EU Instant Payments Regulation, payment providers in the eurozone must be able to receive and send instant euro transfers and must offer Verification of Payee, which checks that the IBAN matches the account holder's name. To cash out USDC to EUR, all you need is an IBAN in your name.

Banks and wallets in the Eurozone
- RevolutThe country prefix of your Revolut IBAN can depend on where and when you opened the account; some customers have a Lithuanian (LT) IBAN, others a local IBAN for their country. Both work for SEPA.
- N26N26 is a German bank, and many customers have a German (DE) IBAN; in some countries N26 has offered local IBANs instead, so your prefix may differ.
- Wise EUR accountWise's euro account details are commonly a Belgian (BE) IBAN, since Wise's European entity is based in Belgium; it works across SEPA regardless of where you live.
- BBVA EspañaSpanish IBANs are 24 characters long and start with ES; double-check you didn't miss a digit when copying.
- Santander EspañaOpenbank belongs to the Santander group but is a separate bank with its own IBANs; make sure you're copying the one for the account you mean to use.
- INGING operates in several eurozone countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Spain, each with its own app and account products; instructions for one country's app may not match another's.
Limits and things to know
- Banks can set their own limits on instant transfers, and you can often adjust them in the app.
- If the name doesn't match the IBAN, Verification of Payee may flag or block the transfer.
- New Sacamos users start with a lower limit while verification is new.
Tips
- Use the exact account-holder name your bank has on file to avoid Verification of Payee mismatches.
- Any eurozone IBAN in your name works, including from digital banks.
- From 2026, EU crypto service providers report customer transactions to tax authorities under DAC8 — keep your own records too.
How it compares
Every option below works. They differ in who holds your funds, how many steps it takes and how pricing is shown. This is a qualitative comparison — fees and speeds change, so check each provider's current terms.
| Option | Custody | Steps | Speed | Pricing | Good for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sacamos (non-custodial off-ramp) | You keep USDC in your wallet until you send it to a one-time partner deposit address | Verify once, add bank, get quote, send from wallet | Depends on the local rail; instant rails usually minutes | Rate and fees shown upfront in the quote | Getting paid in USDC and cashing out straight from your own wallet | Supports USDC on Solana and Base only; identity verification required |
| Centralized exchange (deposit, sell, withdraw) | The exchange holds your funds while you trade and withdraw | Deposit, place a sell order, then request a fiat withdrawal | Varies by exchange and withdrawal method | Trading spread/fees plus withdrawal fees; can be cost-effective for large amounts | Active traders who already keep a balance on an exchange | Extra steps, custody risk, and sending to the exchange on a network it supports |
| P2P marketplace (e.g. Binance P2P) | Platform escrow holds the crypto during the trade | Deposit to the platform, pick a buyer, wait for their bank transfer, release | Depends on the counterparty | Set by each buyer; can be competitive | Flexible payment methods and markets with few other options | Counterparty and scam risk (fake receipts, reversed or third-party payments) |
| Sell widgets (MoonPay, Transak) | You send crypto to the provider when you sell | Often built into wallets; verify, sell, receive to bank or card | Varies by country and payout method | Provider fees and spread, shown before confirming | Convenience inside a wallet you already use | Supported countries, tokens and payout rails vary |
Taxes (general information)
General information, not tax advice: crypto taxation is set nationally in each EU country, so rules differ between Spain, Germany, France, Italy and others. Since 1 January 2026, DAC8 requires crypto-asset service providers to report customer transactions to tax authorities. Check with your national tax authority or an advisor.

Regulation
Crypto-asset services in the EU are regulated under MiCA. Sacamos works with authorised partners for conversion and payouts.
Safety checklist
- Send a small test amount the first time.
- Check the network twice — sending on the wrong network can lose funds.
- Never share your seed phrase. No real support agent will ask for it.
- Only start cash-outs from the official site or app.

Seconds (the scheme targets 10 seconds) once the payout is sent. 24/7/365.
Does my bank support SEPA Instant?
Under the Instant Payments Regulation, eurozone payment providers are required to be able to receive instant euro payments, so most eurozone accounts can.
Can I use a non-eurozone IBAN?
This corridor targets euro accounts in the euro area. Other SEPA countries may work depending on the partner; the app tells you before you send.

Do I need a crypto exchange account?
No. You send USDC directly from your own wallet to a partner deposit address. You never deposit into an exchange account.
Which networks are supported?
USDC on Solana and USDC on Base. Do not send USDC on other networks, or other tokens.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the amount and corridor. The quote shows the exchange rate and all fees before you send, plus a small network fee paid in your wallet.
