How to withdraw USDC from Coinbase Wallet (Base app) to a bank account in the Eurozone

Coinbase Wallet — rebranded in 2025 as the Base app — is Coinbase's self-custodial wallet. It is separate from a Coinbase exchange account: you hold the keys. USDC on Base is native to it, which makes Base the natural network to cash out from.

Across the euro area, SEPA Instant moves euros between accounts in seconds, around the clock. Under the EU Instant Payments Regulation, payment providers in the eurozone must be able to receive and send instant euro transfers and must offer Verification of Payee, which checks that the IBAN matches the account holder's name. To cash out USDC to EUR, all you need is an IBAN in your name.

Where to find your IBAN

Your IBAN is in your bank app's account details (often also on statements). It starts with a two-letter country code.

Coinbase Wallet (Base app): tips

  • If your USDC is in a Coinbase exchange account rather than the wallet, it is custodial — you would withdraw from the exchange instead.
  • Sacamos only needs your wallet to sign a normal USDC transfer; it never requests token approvals.
  • Use the exact account-holder name your bank has on file to avoid Verification of Payee mismatches.
  • Any eurozone IBAN in your name works, including from digital banks.

Safety checklist

  • Send a small test amount the first time.
  • Check the network twice — sending on the wrong network can lose funds.
  • Never share your seed phrase. No real support agent will ask for it.
  • Only start cash-outs from the official site or app.

Frequently asked questions

What if my USDC in Coinbase Wallet (Base app) is on another network?

Bridge or swap it to USDC on Solana or Base first, using a reputable bridge, then cash out. Never send unsupported networks to the deposit address.

Which networks are supported?

USDC on Solana and USDC on Base. Do not send USDC on other networks, or other tokens. Coinbase Wallet (Base app) can send USDC on Base and Solana — both work with Sacamos.

How long does a SEPA Instant payout take?

Seconds (the scheme targets 10 seconds) once the payout is sent. 24/7/365.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the amount and corridor. The quote shows the exchange rate and all fees before you send, plus a small network fee paid in your wallet. Network fees on Base are typically low; the app shows the fee before you confirm.

Do I need a crypto exchange account?

No. You send USDC directly from your own wallet to a partner deposit address. You never deposit into an exchange account.

Does my bank support SEPA Instant?

Under the Instant Payments Regulation, eurozone payment providers are required to be able to receive instant euro payments, so most eurozone accounts can.
