USDC to Nu México: cash out to Mexican pesos

How to send USDC from your wallet to your Nu México account in Mexican pesos via SPEI: where to find your CLABE, steps, limits and FAQs.

In Mexico, bank-to-bank transfers run on SPEI, the interbank payment system operated by Banco de México. Every bank and most regulated fintech accounts have an 18-digit CLABE, and SPEI transfers to a CLABE typically land in seconds at any hour. That makes Mexico one of the smoothest corridors for turning USDC into pesos: you send USDC, the payout partner converts it to MXN and pushes a SPEI transfer to your CLABE.

Where to find your CLABE — Nu México

The Nu app usually shows your CLABE in the account (Cuenta Nu) section, often with a button to copy or share it. Nu credit cards do not have a CLABE for receiving money; use the Cuenta Nu.

What to know about Nu México

  • Nu México is app-only: there are no branches, so everything from finding your CLABE to contacting support happens inside the app.
  • Money held in the Cuenta Nu can sit in the yield-bearing 'Cajitas'; a cash-out lands in the main account balance first, and you move it afterwards if you want.
  • SPEI deposits into Nu usually show up quickly, but the first transfer from a new sender can occasionally take longer while it is reviewed.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Get a quote

Open Sacamos, choose your country and enter the amount of USDC. The quote shows the exchange rate, fees and the exact Mexican pesos you will receive.

  2. 2

Verify your identity (first time only)

Our licensed partner verifies your identity once. Payouts go only to accounts in your own name.

  3. 3

    Add your CLABE

The Nu app usually shows your CLABE in the account (Cuenta Nu) section, often with a button to copy or share it. Nu credit cards do not have a CLABE for receiving money; use the Cuenta Nu.

  4. 4

    Send USDC from your wallet

Send the exact USDC amount to the one-time deposit address shown, on the network shown (Solana or Base). Your funds stay in your wallet until you sign this transfer.

  5. 5

    Receive via SPEI

After the deposit confirms on-chain, the partner converts and pays out. Usually seconds to a few minutes once the payout is sent.

Limits and things to know

  • Low-tier accounts ("nivel 1–3" accounts common in fintech and some basic bank products) have monthly deposit caps set by regulation. If your account is low-tier, a large payout can be rejected — upgrade the account level in your app first.
  • Some banks apply their own daily limits on incoming SPEI for new accounts; check in your app if you plan a large transfer.
  • New Sacamos users start with a lower limit while verification is new; it increases over time.

Taxes (general information)

General information, not tax advice: in Mexico, income from services is taxable regardless of whether you are paid in pesos or USDC, and gains on disposing of crypto assets can also be taxable. The SAT is the authority; the right regime depends on your situation, so talk to a contador.

Frequently asked questions

Can I send to someone else's bank account?

No. Payouts go to an account in the name of the verified customer.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the amount and corridor. The quote shows the exchange rate and all fees before you send, plus a small network fee paid in your wallet.

Can I receive pesos on a weekend?

Yes. SPEI operates 24/7, so payouts to a CLABE can arrive on weekends and holidays, subject to your bank's own processing.
