USDC to BBVA México: cash out to Mexican pesos
How to send USDC from your wallet to your BBVA México account in Mexican pesos via SPEI: where to find your CLABE, steps, limits and FAQs.
In Mexico, bank-to-bank transfers run on SPEI, the interbank payment system operated by Banco de México. Every bank and most regulated fintech accounts have an 18-digit CLABE, and SPEI transfers to a CLABE typically land in seconds at any hour. That makes Mexico one of the smoothest corridors for turning USDC into pesos: you send USDC, the payout partner converts it to MXN and pushes a SPEI transfer to your CLABE.

Where to find your CLABE — BBVA México
In the BBVA México app, open the account you want to receive into; the 18-digit CLABE is usually shown in the account details or in the option to share your account data. It is also printed on your account statement.
What to know about BBVA México
- Use the CLABE, not the 16-digit debit card number or the 10-digit account number: Sacamos pays out over SPEI to an 18-digit CLABE.
- If you have more than one BBVA account (for example a payroll account and a savings account), each has its own CLABE; copy the one for the account you actually want to fund.
- Incoming SPEI transfers usually appear in the BBVA app's movements within moments of being sent.

Limits and things to know
- Low-tier accounts ("nivel 1–3" accounts common in fintech and some basic bank products) have monthly deposit caps set by regulation. If your account is low-tier, a large payout can be rejected — upgrade the account level in your app first.
- Some banks apply their own daily limits on incoming SPEI for new accounts; check in your app if you plan a large transfer.
- New Sacamos users start with a lower limit while verification is new; it increases over time.
How it compares
Every option below works. They differ in who holds your funds, how many steps it takes and how pricing is shown. This is a qualitative comparison — fees and speeds change, so check each provider's current terms.
| Option | Custody | Steps | Speed | Pricing | Good for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sacamos (non-custodial off-ramp) | You keep USDC in your wallet until you send it to a one-time partner deposit address | Verify once, add bank, get quote, send from wallet | Depends on the local rail; instant rails usually minutes | Rate and fees shown upfront in the quote | Getting paid in USDC and cashing out straight from your own wallet | Supports USDC on Solana and Base only; identity verification required |
| Centralized exchange (deposit, sell, withdraw) | The exchange holds your funds while you trade and withdraw | Deposit, place a sell order, then request a fiat withdrawal | Varies by exchange and withdrawal method | Trading spread/fees plus withdrawal fees; can be cost-effective for large amounts | Active traders who already keep a balance on an exchange | Extra steps, custody risk, and sending to the exchange on a network it supports |
| Bitso | Custodial exchange account | Deposit USDC on a supported network, convert, withdraw to your local account | Often fast on local rails; varies | Conversion spread/fees per Bitso's schedule | Users already verified on Bitso who want a local exchange | Funds sit in a custodial account between steps |
| P2P marketplace (e.g. Binance P2P) | Platform escrow holds the crypto during the trade | Deposit to the platform, pick a buyer, wait for their bank transfer, release | Depends on the counterparty | Set by each buyer; can be competitive | Flexible payment methods and markets with few other options | Counterparty and scam risk (fake receipts, reversed or third-party payments) |
| Sell widgets (MoonPay, Transak) | You send crypto to the provider when you sell | Often built into wallets; verify, sell, receive to bank or card | Varies by country and payout method | Provider fees and spread, shown before confirming | Convenience inside a wallet you already use | Supported countries, tokens and payout rails vary |
Taxes (general information)
General information, not tax advice: in Mexico, income from services is taxable regardless of whether you are paid in pesos or USDC, and gains on disposing of crypto assets can also be taxable. The SAT is the authority; the right regime depends on your situation, so talk to a contador.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use my BBVA payroll (nómina) account to receive a USDC cash-out?
Generally yes: a payroll account has a CLABE and can receive SPEI transfers like any other account. It must be in your own name, matching the identity you verified with the payout partner.
How long does a SPEI payout take?
Usually seconds to a few minutes once the payout is sent. 24/7, including weekends.
Can I send to someone else's bank account?
No. Payouts go to an account in the name of the verified customer.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the amount and corridor. The quote shows the exchange rate and all fees before you send, plus a small network fee paid in your wallet.
Can I receive pesos on a weekend?
Yes. SPEI operates 24/7, so payouts to a CLABE can arrive on weekends and holidays, subject to your bank's own processing.
