Cash out USDC to Brazilian reais in Brazil
PIX, run by Brazil's Central Bank, is the default way money moves in Brazil: instant, 24/7 and addressed with a simple key instead of branch and account numbers. To turn USDC into reais you only need a PIX key registered to an account in your name. The payout partner converts USDC to BRL and sends a PIX that typically lands within seconds.

Banks and wallets in Brazil
- NubankA Pix key only works once it is registered to your Nubank account; a phone number or email that is not registered as a key will fail.
- Itaú UnibancoItaú has separate apps for different customer segments (for example Personnalité and business accounts); register the Pix key in the app for the personal account you want to receive into.
- BradescoRegistering a phone or email key usually requires confirming a code sent to that phone or email, so have it at hand.
- Banco do BrasilBanco do Brasil is a public bank controlled by the federal government, and one of the country's oldest; it is a direct participant in Pix.
- CaixaCaixa is a federal public bank, known for handling FGTS, social benefits and housing finance.
- InterInter also offers a US dollar Global Account; Pix only works with the Brazilian real checking account, so register the key there.
- C6 BankC6 offers a multi-currency Global Account alongside the Brazilian account; payouts arrive in BRL via Pix to the main account only.
- Mercado Pago BrasilMercado Pago in Brazil is a payment institution account rather than a traditional bank account, but it receives Pix like any participant.
- PicPayPicPay started as a payments wallet and now offers a full digital account; Pix received into it shows up in your PicPay balance.
Limits and things to know
- Central Bank security rules give individuals lower default PIX limits at night (20:00–06:00). Banks let you adjust them in the app, but increases only take effect after a waiting period (at least 24 hours).
- Some banks also have their own limits for incoming transfers on new accounts.
- New Sacamos users start with a lower limit while verification is new.
Tips
- The CPF on the receiving account must match the CPF you verified with — third-party payouts are not allowed.
- A random key (chave aleatória) avoids sharing your CPF or phone number with anyone.
- If a payout is large, schedule it for daytime to avoid the reduced nighttime limits.
How it compares
Every option below works. They differ in who holds your funds, how many steps it takes and how pricing is shown. This is a qualitative comparison — fees and speeds change, so check each provider's current terms.
| Option | Custody | Steps | Speed | Pricing | Good for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sacamos (non-custodial off-ramp) | You keep USDC in your wallet until you send it to a one-time partner deposit address | Verify once, add bank, get quote, send from wallet | Depends on the local rail; instant rails usually minutes | Rate and fees shown upfront in the quote | Getting paid in USDC and cashing out straight from your own wallet | Supports USDC on Solana and Base only; identity verification required |
| Centralized exchange (deposit, sell, withdraw) | The exchange holds your funds while you trade and withdraw | Deposit, place a sell order, then request a fiat withdrawal | Varies by exchange and withdrawal method | Trading spread/fees plus withdrawal fees; can be cost-effective for large amounts | Active traders who already keep a balance on an exchange | Extra steps, custody risk, and sending to the exchange on a network it supports |
| P2P marketplace (e.g. Binance P2P) | Platform escrow holds the crypto during the trade | Deposit to the platform, pick a buyer, wait for their bank transfer, release | Depends on the counterparty | Set by each buyer; can be competitive | Flexible payment methods and markets with few other options | Counterparty and scam risk (fake receipts, reversed or third-party payments) |
| Sell widgets (MoonPay, Transak) | You send crypto to the provider when you sell | Often built into wallets; verify, sell, receive to bank or card | Varies by country and payout method | Provider fees and spread, shown before confirming | Convenience inside a wallet you already use | Supported countries, tokens and payout rails vary |
Taxes (general information)
General information, not tax advice: Brazil's Receita Federal treats crypto assets as reportable assets, and gains on disposals can be taxable. Reporting and taxation rules for crypto have changed several times recently, so check current Receita Federal guidance or ask a contador.

Regulation
Brazil's Central Bank now regulates virtual-asset service providers, and certain stablecoin operations are treated under foreign-exchange rules. Sacamos's licensed partners handle conversion and compliance.
Safety checklist
- Send a small test amount the first time.
- Check the network twice — sending on the wrong network can lose funds.
- Never share your seed phrase. No real support agent will ask for it.
- Only start cash-outs from the official site or app.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a PIX payout take?
Seconds once the payout is sent. 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
Which PIX key should I use?
Any key registered to an account in your name works. CPF is the simplest; a random key is the most private.
Why did my payout arrive at night but I can't move it?
Nighttime PIX limits apply to outgoing transfers from individual accounts. Adjust them in your bank app; increases take effect after a waiting period.
Can I receive into a PJ (business) account?
Only if the business is the verified customer. The payout must go to the same person or company that completed verification.
Do I need a crypto exchange account?
No. You send USDC directly from your own wallet to a partner deposit address. You never deposit into an exchange account.
Which networks are supported?
USDC on Solana and USDC on Base. Do not send USDC on other networks, or other tokens.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the amount and corridor. The quote shows the exchange rate and all fees before you send, plus a small network fee paid in your wallet.
